Athlete Statement
Write 2–4 sentences about yourself as a runner and student. College coaches read hundreds of emails — make this personal and specific. Mention your long-term goals, what kind of program you're looking for, and why running matters to you.

Tips for Emailing Coaches
1.Email the position coach, not just the head coach.
2.Include your top 3 PRs in the subject line: "2026 | 4:32 1600m | 9:18 3200m"
3.Attach your profile PDF and a link to race video in your first email.
4.Follow up every 3–4 weeks if you haven't heard back.
5.Visit campus if possible — coaches take official visitors more seriously.
6.D3 and NAIA schools are very responsive and often offer great academic packages.
